Guest guest
Since I am an adult now (32), I had to ask my mom for her responses to some of these: 1, Age of child upon first symptoms occurred. *****20 months old. (back in the 1970's) 2. Was immunizations done within a 6 week time that your child became sick. *****Yes 3. Did your child have illness prior to 6 weeks of becoming ill. *****Yes, bad reaction to shots (high fever) 4. What drug regimen has helped your child the most. *****Different drugs at different ages and times. Aspirin, Gold when young. (Mom's answer) Enbrel and Mtx now (my answer). I've been on Enbrel for a long time (I think 7-8 years), I think I was like the 2nd patient my rheumy used it on. I've discontinued it twice for pregnancy, but otherwise it's done pretty well. Mtx was added recently. Though I was on it in the past alone, before Enbrel. 5. How far do you have to travel to see a rheumatologist? We had to go to a Children's hospital downtown when I was little. About 30-45 minutes away. Now my rheumy is less than 10 miles away. 6. What state do you live in? Illinois JRA 30+ years (2 synevectomies (1976 & 2001) and many drug therapies)
