Guest guest
, Oh my I've been there. I just read your journal entry. I have an idea, that might help Sophie with the red top drops. Try putting them in the refridgerator. When it is cold the stinging drops don't hurt as much. Talk to Sophie about it, and ask her if she wouldn't just try to see if it helps her. Tell her that a 10 year old girl, a, did that all the time and swears by it. I'm sorry about the docs response. Just remember, noone needs to pressure you into anything that you are not ready for. Listen to your gut, breathe deeply, and you will get through this. Timing is everything, and you are asking the right questions. If Sophie would ever like to talk to a 10 year old going through the same issues, just let me know. I'll let a use my cell. I've posted an update regarding Sophie's fight with uveitis. It is on her caringbridge site: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/teamsophie. Keep your updates coming. Guest guest
tracy, I am so sorry that the news for sophie hasn't been better. I can see why you would be so frustrated with all the different doctor visits and hearing different things from each of them. Seems like you have the most trust in Dr. , so I think its good that you will once again be making the trip to see him. I understand that you are to disheartened to post...times like these are when you just need to be given a shoulder to cry on and continued prayers for your beautiful daughter. P.S. anyone wanting to visit sophies page should use this site..the other one had a period at the end and wouldn't let you access it. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/teamsophie (drea 11 systemic jra/gerd) > > Sorry I've been out of it, lately. Guest guest
: I'm sorry things are not going better for all of you! I know how frustrating doctors can be, but as a mom you have to trust your instincts. From your journal entry I can see that you have great trust in Dr. and a visit with him may do Sophie and you some good. Please know you and your little cutie are in my thoughts & prayers. Please keep us updated. Beth (Hannah, 10, unspecified arthritis; asthma; gerd) daughter5cats <teamsophie@...> wrote: Sorry I've been out of it, lately. Guest guest
' I did see your reply while online. I can't thank you enough for the 'fridge suggestion. Sophie and I are very anxious to see if it works. The are cooling off as I type. I'll be sure to let you know if it helps. Got any tips on the eye pressure test??? Thanks to everyone for your kind words of support and encouragement. They certainly help. Again, I'm sure I'll shake this thing. I just have to get some distance between myself and Tuesday's visit... Guest guest
Traci, Drops should be instilled in a pouch under the eye, not directly onto the eye ball. Often this simple adjustment makes a huge difference. Let me know if it helps! daughter5cats <teamsophie@...> wrote: ' I did see your reply while online. Guest guest
, I am sorry the new is so bad concerning Sophies eyes. It is so hard to know what to do. It sounds to me that you are most comfortable with Dr so I would be planning another trip to Boston to see him. I dont like the way our local doctor brushes off what Dr Fster days. I think you need to find a local doctor that will work hand in hand with Dr so you dont have to keep going to Boston to see him. Im sorry this is so hard. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. hugs Helen and (9,systemic) > > Sorry I've been out of it, lately. I have been lurking occationally > to keep up with everyone. Guest guest
: I am sorry to hear of Sophie's continued struggle with her eyes. I hope you get some clear answers from the doctors. I Will keep her in my prayers for some good news soon. By the way, she is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. Take care. Patty
