I hope the poor kid eventually found it. I know my son always had a special

bear he just couldn't sleep without. Even at (almost) 18 that bear is still

in his room. Up on a high shelf in the closet, hidden, but there. :)

After yesterday's fiasco of an Open House I finally wound up with the frozen

pizza.

Our high school ice rink has one of those, but they charge a dollar a lap

(1/4 mile) so most people in our town can't afford to use it. It's nicely

cushioned and maintained, though.

You are so right Bonnie this is not easy. Not easy at all. Thank you for supporting me. I hope I can be here to support you too. It is good to know that I am not alone. 340/295.4/275, I hope you're finding the motivation to get back on track. Itcertainly isn't easy :( We're all here for you, though, and we haveall been there. You aren't alone. Concentrate on one day at a time. Heck, one meal at a time. You can do this!-Bonnie

Thanks Bonnie it was my son with the mass in his face. We talked with the DR again and it was not as bad as I had first thought. We are very happy with what he said and so things are much better and we will ahve the surgery on the 22nd of June. It is a outpatient surgery and he will be back to school in 2 days. So wee are ok with it all now.

Subject: catching up...

I'm hopelessly behind, yet again.

Just wanted to send my congrats to Nick on being pred-free (may it last

forEVER!)

Also, to Robbin on the new nephew! (What is his name?? )

And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Hannah!

On these notes of good news, wanted to share that Rob has been accepted

into IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis). He is

so excited! I am 95% excited, and 5% sad...empty nest coming up rather

quickly here, with only one kiddoe...

The university is 2 hours away, so he'll be living on campus.

Voc Rehab has been in touch and I'll be calling them tomorrow to find

out

what we do next to get some $$ for college!

Exciting times!!

cool news about Rob. at least the university is only 2 hours away

instead of 20...but still I know what you mean about the sadness.

is just a freshman in highschool this year and sometimes the

thought of him going off to college in a few years completely

rattles me!

How have you been feeling? Are you knees doing any better? Things

going ok for Rob healthwise?

Way to go Rob!!!! You must be so proud . Hard to believe he's off

to college already. I hope that all goes well for him. The empty nest is

hard, but I have learned that quite often they do fly back, and most

often with a TON of laundry!! I'll keep my fingers crossed and throw a

prayer out that some money comes his way. Michele ( 19, spondy)

Hi :

Congrats on Rob's acceptance to IUPUI. Two hours isn't to bad, close enough

to get home if needed fairly quickly and far enough to give him a chance to

be independent. However, I understand all your concerns, etc. about his

being away from home for the first time.

Alyssa is going to start applying soon, we are sending out for information

now. I CAN'T imagine her going away to college, but I know she has VA on the

top of her list................old and dear friends are there, etc. That

will be 10+ hours away, unless you drive like me and make it in 8. Time will

tell. You will have to fill me in on all the college prep etc.

Have you heard from voc rehab about some college money? I hope he gets some

help in that department. Some of these schools are ridiculously expensive.

Take care.

Patty
