Guest guest
First I will say thank you, again, to all of you who have so quickly answered my questions when I post them to this group. You are very caring, thoughtful people and taking the time to help everyone here is so appreciated. My son, Dylan (age 8), went for his rheumy appt. last week and is now taking Celebrex twice a day to hopefully help the inflamation in his left ankle and right middle finger. We are hoping it works! So far, no side effects, which is really a good thing since he is also taking Nexium and Zantac for acid reflux and esophagitis. My next question...have any of you ever tried alternative treatments? I have several friends suggesting that we see herbalists, homeopathic 'doctors', things like that. I am not at all against alternative treatments and we do use some natural remedies around our home for various things. However, I am not at all educated on whether this approach would work for an autoimmune disease such as pauci-auticular JRA. Have any of you taken this route, and if so, has it helped? Thank you, Carolyn Goedike
