Guest guest
Wow Beth thats a high dose of pred. I would be surprised if that didn't make her joints feel lots better at least until the taper. Hope Hannah gets better soon. Aundrea's hightest dose of pred was 20 mg and boy did it ever do a number on her mood and appetite. Hope the asthma settles down quickly. We leave tomorow for Illinois. Can't wait to see Aundrea. I met with her teacher, school nurse and guidance counselor today. It went wonderful. We have a meeting next friday to update her 504. Feels good to have that organized. I gave them all literature on systemic jra as well as a treatment sheet that I typed up to include brief overview of her disease, current symptoms, treatments plans and necesary school modifications...It felt good to turn all that in and hopefully it will alleviate any problemsdown the road. Take care and tell Hannah that were sending many happy thoughts her way! (Aundrea 11 systemic jra)- -- In , Beth Yohnk <yohnkmom@...> wrote: > > Hey, please send Hannah some extra happy thoughts. Guest guest
Beth, I know you were hoping to avoid the pred for awhile but it seems as if the breathing troubles really warranted the need for a quick boost of them. Sure hope the mood swings aren't to awful and that Hannah gets to feeling better soon. You must be starting to feel like you life at the ped's office. sonia (aundrea 11 systemic jra/gerd) > > Ok, I had to take Hannah back to the ped today. She had a terrible day yesterday. Coughed all day and was gasping with some and almost gagging. I put her to bed at 9:00 and she coughed non- stop until midnight and then started right back up at 5:30 this morning. > > He now has her on 40mg pred for 5 days and tapering from there. She should be on it 12 days when we are all done with the taper. Hopefully this will get her better...let the mood swings begin! Wahoo!!!! > > Sending prayers & happy thoughts, > Beth :-) > >
