Growth isn't just about the exterior - but the child's body needs to develop at a reasonable rate to allow balance and proper growth for the internal parts as well. When growth issues are due to an illness, medication or other cause, then it needs to be evaluated and monitored to allow not only for optimum growth for our children, but for optimum health as well. Again, a child can be naturally small and Hi Val: Very well said and true indeed Val. My daughter, , (no arthritis) completed stopped growing, just STOPPED. No reason, no explanation. To make her entire body, inside and out grow and develop she was started on, and is still on, growth hormone. An injection every night, although she has missed a couple of doses here as she is now staying up past Mom's bedtime. It's summer after all. The height issue didn't worry me, although I do want her to be able to meet her full potential in height, but it's the cardiovascular, muscular, internal organs, etc. development that worried me. Missing a hormone, it needs to be replaced. Just like her sisters missing their thyroid hormone, they need to be replaced. They are fortunately though (per Jen) they get to take a little tiny pill. Jen's mission in life is to develop rGH in pill form, to cure cancer (with a pill) and to protect all the animals! If I remember correctly, Rob was going to start or you were looking into rGH for him too. Am I remembering it right? Did you start? Take care. Say hi to VA for me.
