Guest guest
Helen, South Carolina is the cheapest Gas so far. My Sister called today and said it was 2.60 per Gallon. Here where I am it is 2.87 per Gallon. In Atlanta you will find it 2.90 to 3.30 per gallon. But remember this if you have followed Gas prices you will notice that gas prices has stayed about level until this past weekend. I am thinking it will start to drop again (I hope). Since you will be coming 75 south you may find it cheaper out in the country. As you get closer to the cities it will be higher more than likely. Hey take pictures of the different prices on the trip. lololol. Play with the kids " Find the cheapest Gas " lololol. Robbin
Guest guest
Still just 7 days to go maybe Gas will go lower. The next Holiday is not until Sept. Taco Bell up the road had a sign out ummmm It read " Need more Gas stop here " lololol Robbin

GA. can any listmembers in those states give me an idea. I was hoping gas would not be over $3 for the trip.Perhaps if the gas is cheaper in one state over another we can fill up before leaving a " cheap state " ..... So maybe as you head south the price will get lower! It's usually close to the same price in GA as it is here in AL.

Guest guest
Jealous? Kris, don't feel bad. I always go where it's least expensive and it's $3.63 a gallon. Same price for about 6 weeks, now. We were actually happy when it finally got below $3.85. For regular, I mean. After hearing some of these prices though, I'm not quite so happy about 'paying less' anymore. But ... it's still costing us less than a gallon of milk Take Care, Georgina Re: OT. gas prices Okay, you're making me jealous. Gas is $3.24 at the cheapest around here, has been for months on end. Guest guest
e, Where we use to live we lived in a Valley a hill on both sides. If it iced or snowed we mainly were stuck. To get to a store it was 5 miles away or we would walk 3 blocks and ride Marta. couldn't make it half the time unless she was in her wheelchair. lolol to get to Marta though we had 3 hills up and down. I pushed the whole way. Here we have slight hills but can walk it on good days. Bad days she says no way. lolol. Walking is good though and you really get to see nature. We go by a creek and and I look for Crawdads. It does strengthen up the muscles. Robbin
Guest guest
e, lolol. There's 1 Costco I know of it's about 20 miles away. We went into it to check out the prices. We didn't get to do that. lolol. Polices came running in and the police helicopter was over the store. Ummmmm Someone had robbed a bank and guess where they were hiding. ummmm in Costco. I have shopped at Sams Club and BJ's. To survive now day's though you should have water, Lamps with lamp oil, Stock up on can foods and have a handy hand can opener. Charcol is good with lighter fluid. lololol. When you go to buy can foods always look at the best used by date. We just stocked up on can foods good best used before 2009. If you need milk ummm get powder milk. I got a call yesterday from a guy doing a survey on surviving and government issues. He asked if I was prepared in case of a emergency. I thought a minute and said well this house could probably survive for awhile since I have a garden and plenty of can foods. lolol Robbin
Guest guest
Robbin, Unfortunately nothing is close enough to do that! My brother and his family live in Longmont, Colorado and they all bike everywhere, even to the grocery store and pull it behind their bikes. Won't work where we live. But lately if I go to visit my folks (about 2 miles and uphill both ways-seriously you have to go up a huge one and over to get to either house) I have been walking with my 9 year old. joe couldn't ever make it, but she is at school so it works for me. And maybe I'll lose a pound or two while I'm at it. Sure wish we were coming to Atlanta but as always I'm saying " maybe next year " . e Robbin40@... wrote: e, If it gets to that I am riding my bike or just walking.
