I emailed Beth and she emailed me back and we did this a few times. I finally got in lolol. Thanks Beth. I sat for I know over a hour and half just looking at these faces. I knew of and have met some of them. 's picture struck me. I looked up on my desk and seen 's Graduation picture. I seen no difference in these 2 girls. I looked at the picture of at 's age and seen a very pale tired little girl. I went on and looked at each one of your kids and Adults in those Pictures. I seen one thing in common. We are a family far away but yet all know each other through emails. Each day we wake up and each night we go to bed. Know one of us on the list is thinking about each other. It's more than just the Blood Family. Cause some Blood relatives just do not understand what we feel inside and what we go through. It's a bond we have created among us. We are able to find out from each other what we need to do or if we need to vent we know someone is out there and will reply. Here I am a Mom who is very Lucky to be part of this group. Georgina THANKS for making this group reality. Thanks to all who have given me advice and who have been at the other end of my phone when I called. Either for advice or just to say Hi and what you up to. lolol. I am a joker and will try my best to get a laugh out of everyone lolol. But I do have one heck of a heart that cares so much about each one of you here and those newbies coming in just like I did 8 years ago. Like a bird without wings and didn't know what the future would be like for . Today I see so much has done and that is because of encouragment from everyone who knows . , I read what you said in your post and your so right on it. Several here have said things that make a difference. You have made a difference in someones life. Made a Mom's heart tear up because she has found a place that knows what shes going through. Or she has felt some relief to know what she is going through is really out there. Thanks to all and pat yourself on the back. As the newbies come to the list I think of this. Here's another parent just getting started on a journey I have been on. I know many who have been on this journey longer than me. For those who have been on this Journey longer I congradulate each one because if it wasn't for you. I wouldn't be where I am today. wouldn't be where she is today. You are the encouragement this family looks to when we need advice. Your our inspiration to know there's HOPE, FAITH and Love everywhere. I can be anything I want to be. Is what a child says. It's what a parent says to the child. But what happens when a Disease comes into the picture? The parent should continue to tell the child this as encouragement. Have Faith in the child no matter what. Always Hug them and say those Magic words I LOVE YOU so much your my baby. Be Honest no matter what with anything concerning the child. Life is what you make of it. Let the child try it. Each child has a dream and each child needs to fulfill that dream. This Disease is a stumbling block. It can cause a problem. Just because our baby has this do we as Parent's need to restrict the child from being a child? No. Allow your child to be a child. One thing about it no matter which way you look at it. A child needs to enjoy his childhood. These kids know more than a peer of it's age. It's hard to be a parent with any child. It's hard to be the one who makes a choice that the choice is for making that choice that could be a wrong choice. Being a parent is hard. With the hassles of everyday life and stressful situations that come with life. We in this group have a place we can come to and know everyone here knows something of whats going on. Take a break and relax. Or your going to end up sick later. A Mom or Dad can't handle everything that pops up. Hold your child and know that child loves you unconditionally just as you love your child unconditionally. That child may act up and you might not like some choices he makes but. Hes a child making their own Mistakes as a NORMAL child. Remember they have to be Normal in someway. What is normal? ANYTHING I think lolol. Right now I am typing to your with My stereo loud lololol. is dancing around lolol. HEYYYYYYYYYYYY is this normal? lololol. Rascal Flatts is playing lolol LIfe is a HIGHWAY I want to run it all night long. I want to jump it all night long lololol. Ok it's one of 's cool songs at the moment. Ok My Brother is leaving for work too lolol Have a good day at work ok You have a good day. Drive careful. Ok in a very short time I am in between typing this and everything is going on. Is it fun? Heck yesssssssssssssss. Life is a Highway you got it. I myself like it on the back roads lolololol. Ok Start laughing and relaxing lolol. Life is to short to live life on the highway. At this time in 's life it is a highway. She has so much going for her. But with JRA it can slow her to those back roads. She cans ee life passing her by. So Life is taking it slow and fast. Donna I am so grateful for you to let me see life another way. Seeing angles for . you to. All others I have met along this Journey. Yall are god sends to us. All of those who are new to this Group. Rest assured you will be where I am in a few years. Seeing how this group has helped in being not only friends but as a second Family. One Voice and Idea has become this Group. Helping others in the same situation. Each day we have some one in this list on our mind. We think of you when we know one is going through a test or surgery. I also remember days and nights of those ER stays Those days are not gone but right now we are enjoying this time. Loud music and watching more active today. She was funny to watch though. lolol I even got up and we were going to town dancing lolol. Seeee Dancing is excercise. I think making the therapy fun for the kids helps alot. A few years ago My Sister and I and were riding around lolol. Listening to music and one of us suggested a dare lololol. Oh heck no lolol So my Sister and I went and dared each other to do this. said ain't no way I am doing it cause we are up for a cop to haul us to the nut house. lololol. After he locks us up. Well My Sister and I did it. Everytime a red light caught us we had to jump out of the van and dance to whatever music was playing. Honey you should have seen the faces on the other people stopped at those red lights lololol. I have been dancing all my life and my sister never learned a lot of dances. was first embaressed at us. Then she got soooooooooooooo tickled at the way we were dancing. I looked at her and her little eyes were looking for a cop to come up. At 1 red light these guys started cheering us on. My sister said ok the show is over and we jumped in the van and took off. was in the floor laughing so hard and she was still wondering if we would jump out again at the next red light. I don't post very often, but I read almost every post on this list, and although I haven't met any of you...the connection is there. Others who haven't experienced JRA may try to understand, but those in this group truly do understand. Since you mentioned songs, music has always been a huge part of my life. There are certain songs, however, that I just identify with immediately. Here's the words to another favorite of mine (by Rascal Flatts - on their new album " Me and My Gang " , if any of you are interested) The song is " My Wish " . It says so much about how I feel about my kids...but it really speaks to me about my daughter, who is 20 mos old and recently diagnosed with poly JRA. Most of all, the message I get from this song is that we all have hopes and dreams for our kids....don't let this disease (or anything for that matter) kill them....there are many on this list that are proof that hope and faith are so important..... I hope that days come easy and moments pass slow, And each road leads you where you want to go, And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose, I hope you choose the one that means the most to you. At this time in 's life it is a highway. She has so much going for her. But with JRA it can slow her to those back roads. She cans ee life passing her by. So Life is taking it slow and fast. I never listened to each word because I listen to 's voice. Now I have read the song word for word and I also see why Rascal Flatts is 's Favorite group. On this same CD of Rascal Flatts is many good ones. When got this CD for her Birthday. She was so excited she took it and listened to it. The next day she said Ma you have got to listen to it. So when I got time I sat and put it in and that first song " Stand " . Man did that hit me. Made me think of and each child on this list. Garth has one that is also a good one. The River. " Stand " is the one! Yes, it could be the theme song for these kids...no doubt....I love that song as just about every one on their new CD...don't even get me started on them...I think they are 'da bomb as the kids say (or is that saying old now too?) Ummmmm 4 plates of supper yesterday. WOW. sat down and said Ronni this food is DA BOMB just wait til you take a bite. lolol. said well I thought about bringing you a plate to work but I didn't lolol. Ronni said well I knew what was going to be for Supper so I couldn't wait to get back home. lolol. Ronni tasted and she said your right it is daaa bomb. Ok it's still a word the kids use here. lolol. Chicken and dressing with a mix of Collards and Spinach and Mustard greens was supper last night. There was no left overs lololol. She works at a hotel. put in that CD of hers that has several Rascal Flatts songs on it along with one by Pink. lolol. jams that stereo up and here we go LIFE IS A HIGHWAY. lolol. sunroof down and windows down. It's 11pm. We are jamming to the music. Just hoping no cop gets us now. lolol. is dancing in the seat. We pull in the Hotel parking lot I said ok now chill on the music. just barely turned it down. Ronni gets in and says ohhhh no not that song again. lolol. I said yep and we are having fun lolol. Ronni said ok I need to go to walmart. We go there and and I sat in the car. turned the Stereo up. and said ok if a cop comes up ma. We tell him I am getting in my Therapy of exercises. lololol. I said that would work with me lolol. Knowing we may not get away with that one BUT it would be worth a try. is moving to the beat and getting down lolol. I looked around and people were watching her. She belts out LIFE IS A HIGHWAY and sings right along with it. I get to getting with the beat NOW my car is rocking lolol. Security rode by and didn't stop. lololol. Ok now I am feeling alittle better about not getting in trouble. So here I am enjoying this time with . ok this song just is a good song. We played it and replayed it til my daughter in law got back. said ok now I have done my therapy for the night and I am tired. lolol. said ok now. If Ronni don't hurry up I am getting out and this Walmart will having a dancing girl and crowd out here. lolol. I am thinking ok maybe Ronni better hurry up. Then I think ok now if gets out I have to get out. lolol. Ok Ronni came back and she said ain't y'all getting tired of that song? said no way. It is a great song. It get's me on my feet everytime and I move which is good for me. lolol. I seconded that and said this helps with her therapy and Mentally she gets her mind off things lolol. Ronni said well I understand that but can we listen to something else. lolol. said ok here comes PINK lolol. Good beat to that one to. I do not know who PINK is. But that song was good lolol. She's only one but already has 4 distinct " moves " and loves to dance and sing.
