OT: some good news to share

Since I've had bad news to share lately, I wanted to share some great

news - our oldest daughter is now officially a graduate of Marquette

University in Milwaukee, WI with a degree in Psychology and a minor in

Criminology. It was a beautiful day on Sunday and the ceremony was

wonderful! Just had to share, Michele ( 19, spondy)

Thanks Beth. The construction is awful isn't it? Luckily we have been

going up there so we have learned lots of ins and outs and avoid the

interchange as well. We come in from near the casino - it is quite easy

from Chicago to come in that way. One time called when we were

coming up and she said " Oh by the way, the bridge on Wisconsin Av is

gone " . Minor detail to say the least! LOL So we switched our way in. The

university did handle things well and everything went quite smoothly

traffic-wise. There was a lot more parking than we thought there would

be. My dh is moving her on Wednesday from her current place to her new

one, so that should be interesting for him. She likes it there and is

planning on staying. Thanks again for the good wishes, Michele

Thanks so much to everyone who responded with well wishes. I will be

sure to pass them along. Right now, she is going to stay in Milwaukee,

provided of course she gets a job to pay her rent. She is taking another

course, and I hope eventually she will go for her masters. In the field

she has chosen, you really could use one. She has in the past thought of

Law school as she is quite interested in juvenile justice and has sat in

during some of her courses in juvenile court cases. For right now

though, any full time job would help! Thanks again everyone - it makes

me so happy to be able to share good news. Michele

When my Son Graduated High School That made my life worth all those

school years of him. Something to be proud of. Getting one through High School.

He

went straight on into College and finished his 2 years. I was proud of him

but also proud of myself for pushing him.

Last May 20, 2005 I was again proud to have made it to getting 2 kids

through High School. Now it is getting through her College years and

standing proud to have gotten 2 through College. Pat yourself on the back and

walk proud.
