Guest guest
Hi All, Just to update on . The rashes she has been having. I called a few weeks ago and got her a Appointment with a Specialist Dermatologist. Today we went in and He looked over. He asked questions and then said We need to take a Biopsy to rule out everything. Ok, I THOUGHT a Biopsy was ONLY a scraping of the skin in several places on her body. UMMMMMM I was W R O N G. I even told that was all it would be and it wouldn't hurt. Ok I am a bad Mom today. The nurse came in and said ok. The Dr will be doing the Biospy. I am sitting there thinking oh just a scrape here and there. He said ok I am going to take a Biopsy of the newest skin Lesion. said ok. The Nurse hands him the needle. Ummm The look in her face was horrified. I said it will be ok . BUT she was seeing what I wasn't. He dives her the Novacaine and the nurse hands him something else. I guess it was the scapel. I seen start turning white in the face. Now this Doctor is doing this on 's Shoulder right and she has EYE view of what he's doing. He does not scrape the skin. He CUTS a chunk of skin the size of the lesion which is the size of a nickel. He then says ok I am stitching you up now it's all over. I am SAY what stitches? I stand up and look and see him stitching her up. The nurse shows us what is in the cup. It's the WHOLE lesion. He just cut's it right out. This is OPEN skin he cut out. Well there wasn't nothing I could say but Ok it's all over with to . She had a problem with bleeding so the nurse got it stopped. said can we go now. She said yes the Dr will bring you a few prescriptions. stood up and said I can't get dressed I have to sit. She almost passed out. We got her dressed and the Doctor came back in and said in 2 weeks the stitches come out ok. When you come back we will know for sure what is going on and how to treat it. He want's to look at it under the scope and talk with a team of Dr's. Right now it's a sit and wait on what is causing the Staph infections and rashes. He is also looking at the MRSA since was around my mom who passed away with this along with Complications of Diabetes. He also knows about the JRA related rashes. Strange as he said that rashes on her hands to her elbows were different than it was on her body. Will let you know about the next visit. 's getting ready for the AJAO Conference. She can't wait to see you again and meet new people on the list. She also is managing to walk a lot farther for the Ga Walk in May. She still has her day's. When we got home from the Derm Dr. I looked at her shoulder and she was bleeding again. Got that stopped again. Now she is hurting and hollering for me.
