Guest guest
Alia, It's time for God to back off on you now! I don't know how you do it, and am so sorry to hear she is not doing well! I don't have any answers. Sorry. ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Alia.Pranke@... Sent: Tuesday, March 14, 2006 12:42 PM Subject: Caroline - Fatigue Hey everyone... Little Miss Caroline has been SO tired this past week. She couldn't walk for JAM even. Luckily, my dad was able to carry her the whole way. Last night she went to bed at 5:45pm and we had to wake her at 7:00am this morning. She is already down for her afternoon nap, and I bet I will have to wake her when I pick her up from daycare at 4:30pm... Ugh! I know a lot of you have experienced this fatigue - any suggestions?? Also - we saw the Urologist on Thursday and he is pretty sure that she has Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR). He switched her daily anti-biotic from Amoxicillin to Sulfatrine (sp?). We have to schedule a sedate VCUG to rule out any other issue, but as of right now he's treating her for the VUR. Lots of fun in our house! Guest guest
Thanks . It is a wonder isn't it?? Luckily I have a great support system and wonderful friends like you!!! Guest guest
I am so sorry Caroline has another issue to deal with. I am really glad they will be sedating her for the VCUG, as my daughter had a horrible experience with that at St. Children's. Of course, that was about 13 years ago. She was awake and at 15 it is a memory she still reminds us of. She had to have extra staff come in and hold her down for it and it was just a bad experience. I hope Caroline's goes very smoothly. Take Care and I hope she starts feeling better soon. Guest guest
Alia, I don't want to scare you, but could this be something else. She just doesn't seem to respond to anything? I am sure this has run thru your head, and you are VERY educated on this disease...but could it be? PS I have your GS cookies as well, so the next time I see you I will have them for you. ________________________________ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Alia.Pranke@... Guest guest
-Alia, As you know Nick always had a huge issue with the fatigue part of this disease. There really is not a whole heck of a lot you can do except to let them sleep. Try not to plan too much that will wear them out. Nick is older than caroline so he was able to listen to his body more. But i bet Miss caroline just wants to play play play... Remicade was the answer for Nick, but thats a ways off for you guys,if at all. Im so sorry my sweet little Caroline is feeling this way. She is such a doll. is talking about her all the time, she had fun over the weekend with her. hand in there Alia, things have to start getting better one of these days.
