(for those of you that need to get weight on your children you can fatten this smoothie up with ice-cream and whole milk) Great tasting Turkey Lasagna 1 ½ pounds of lean ground turkey 1 ½ cups low fat cottage cheese 8 oz grated mozzarella (low fat would be best) around 4 tomatoes onion to taste 1 tsp. minced garlic 4-5 sliced zucchini salt and pepper to taste in large skilled sauté the onion and then add ground turkey, minced garlic, tomatoes, salt and pepper. In a separate bowl mix your cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese. Slice your Zucchini length wise. In 9 x 12 pan layer meat mixture, zucchini and top with cheese mix. Continue 2 more layers. Place in oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. My kids don't really like this meal and that would be an understatement.lol However, my husband and I both love it! It freezes well. Guest guest
Hi ; That sounds really good. I have been making smoothies too, but add a handfull of spinach or baby greens. I know it sounds horrible, but you really can't taste them and you get more greens in your diet. Guest guest
Summer - good luck with Weight Watchers! I started in April '04 and lost 50lbs with them. It really helped me. I would recommend you check out their website and the message boards there. So much help and lots of inspiration from the folks who post there. You can do it! The plan fits in so well with real life - that is what I like about it. Guest guest
Thanks . I am about 5-10 lbs from their goal weight, and have taken a break from meetings. But I still follow the plan and still watch my points. Since not attending meetings, I have maintained or gone down a bit, did not gain over the holidays. Like I said, I love how it is so realistic. I sit down with the family for dinner, I eat what they eat. I am the type I cannot deny myself, or I want it more. I have learned what a real portion of food is. OK, I'll stop the advertising! LOL! Guest guest
summer, I know what you mean about the sugar addiction. I have been on this new diet for one week and it really limits sugars and carbs to a normal amount. For the first 4 days i had headaches from sugar withdrawl. each day got a bit better and now they are gone. I will probably stay strong until pms rolls around and then i will be craving milk duds....Wish i were more like michele and had learned portion control...but if i eat one then i will most definately eat the whole box....yeah that would be the family size economy box! :-) Keep up the great work...What wonderful inspiration you can have from michele being on the same program and loosing 50 lbs.... Guest guest
Thanks michele, I exercised faithfully for 3 months, 5 days a week. Even ran 13 miles one day...(probably will never do that again) in that 3 months I never lost a pound! My body holds on to fat like a drowning person clinging to a life preserver. lol Anyway since adding the change to my diet, coupled with the exercise that is when I was able to shed 7 lbs. It has me energized me to keep going! The battle remains as hard as ever but the one thing I have learned is that you just keep trying each new day! Hopefully, by summer I will be at my goal weight, but if not I will just keep at it. Because in the long run i know that learning to eat healthy and exercise are things that I need to be doing for a lifetime and traits that i want to model for my kids! Keep up the awesome job...You have been my inspiration for the week! :-) sonia (drea 10 systemic jra)-- - In , " Tepper, Michele " <MTepper@f...> wrote: > > - Sorry - I did not get the original post (ended up in some junk mail file) and did not see you too had lost some weight.
