Guest guest
Ok I have done something that was REALLY hard , I let my daughter go to an all night party ( with our church youth group) and they are going ice skating for three hours . Belle LOVES to skate but its getting increasing harder for her each time. Her foot and heel are giving her some pain along with the same old hip and hand issues. I know logically that we can't protect her from harm all of the time but gosh - I want to ! I didn't want to go because she needs to know she can trust herself . With this disease we cant predict what tomorrow will bring so we made this decision that we would let her do as much as she feels she can do today - we will worry about tomorrow when it gets here. All that being said : I'm so scared she's going to get hurt and not tell anyone , hiding her pain is something she does with ease. Being a pre-teen and having this to deal with has been pretty tough and she doesn't want to be different and by not letting her skate tonight that's just what she would have been ... different. Gosh my heart hurts for these kids. Thanks for letting me vent a little Teri ( Belle 11 psoriatic )
