Guest guest
Hi everyone … I just have quick question. Belle (11 with psoriatic arthritis) is having tummy issues again. The thing is, she has been on these same meds for quite a few months now. When she started taking them she had an upset stomach most mornings but after a few weeks it went away. Now in the past few days it's gotten worse again. I know everyone is saying, " call the Dr and get the med changed " but its not that simple. This combination that she is on (sulfasalazine & mobic with acetaminophen for break through pain) works WONDERFUL, nothing has ever worked so well - not even the injections. She has absolutely no pain in her hips, back or shoulders. Her hands still give her problems now and then but she has her handy dandy splints that she wears when they hurt and she can handle that pain just fine. She told me this morning that she would rather have the normal pain of arthritis than the stomach aches each morning … so sad. Do they give stomach coating meds like prilosec or whatever with these meds? I don't know that I have ever seen it mentioned on here before so I thought Id just through it out there and see what you all think. Thanks in advance for all of you great ideas.
