I got an e-mail from the Albany chapter of the AF yesterday about the advocacy

summit. I am very interested in attending and I am trying to get my daughter to

show the same level of enthusiasm. Of course her first question was who else is

going? So I am putting the question out there - how many of you are planning on

attending and how old are yours kids.

Hi,

Unfortunately, we won't be able to attend. It's just too far from home.

I was wondering, though, if anybody here remembered many years back when a

group of people with arthritis, online, sent out a call for others to save

and collect their empty prescription vials, to be brought to the Summit, to

make a statement about the impact and importance of the ongoing medical

needs of people with arthritis? I think I heard about it through the

alt.support.arthritis newsgroup or maybe ArthritisInsight? I was wondering

if anyone here knew or heard anything about that and, if so, did it turn out

to be a good thing? Also, might we consider doing something like that - to

help with a visible marker to represent all the people who support the

arthritis advocacy initiatives but who won't be in attendance? Not

necessarily empty pill vials but pictures of the kids or something?

Just wondering,

Georgina
