Guest guest
, I am glad Tiff's rheumy called you and was willing to try something differant before your next apointment. OTC childrens Motrin can be very expensive.I think when was real small we were going through close to two bottles a week at about $6 a bottle. You can get it as a prescription and get a big bottle for your co-pay.I just remember the Motrin being our most expensive out of pocket drug. I hope it helps with Tiff's pain. Hugs Becki and david 7 systemic
Guest guest
i know it is very expencive.... i think i will go down to the tribe and see if i can get it there. i can just walk in there and ask for tylenol and i get it at no cost... i will have to look into the motrin and see if they have that as well. right now we pay 60 dollars a month for the naproxen... so even if i have to pay for the motrin i think it cant be worse then that.... i hope lol... > , > I am glad Tiff's rheumy called you and was willing to try something differant > before your next apointment. > OTC childrens Motrin can be very expensive.I think when was real small > we were going through close to two bottles a week at about $6 a bottle. You can > get it as a prescription and get a big bottle for your co-pay.I just remember > the Motrin being our most expensive out of pocket drug. > I hope it helps with Tiff's pain. > Hugs > Becki and david 7 systemic > > >
Guest guest
Becky and , Because children's motrin is an over the counter drug there are a lot of insurance companies that will not pay for it, even if you have a prescription. Ours is one of those, so when was little I used to make the drive~~ only about 30 miles but it takes forever in rush hour (which can be all day around here!)~~ to the military hospital to get it. What a blessing when Em finally learned to swallow pills!! I read below, , that you may be able to get it from the tribe. I hope that you're able to do so. If it's not available right now maybe you'll be able to get that changed. I'm glad Tiff's rheumatologist called and that you might now be able to better help Tiff get thru the next couple of weeks. Guest guest
That is great ! See how talking to the actual dr can make a difference. Good for you telling her about the nurse. It does show that the dr is interested in Tiff's well being, with that phone call, in my opinion. I hope things get better for Tiffanie soon, Michele i got to talk to tiffs rheumy dr!! out of no where i get this call from tiffs rheumy dr asking how is tiffanie?? so i told her how she is and also mentioned about the nurse and her attitude. one thing the nurse said is that she doubts that anything will be changed this close to an apt. well she was wrong. her dr is taking her off naproxen and having her take over the counter kids motrine. tiff has been on naproxen 2x a day for 1 1/2 yrs.... so we are going to se if this helps. and then talk about it at her apt. only thing is now she has to take meds at school... oh well.
