Guest guest
Hi Robbin. I was going to email you this morning - I heard on the radio here that the price in Atlanta was up to $6.00 a gallon this morning! Is that true? Here in Chicago, where I usually get gas, it was $3.38. As I came to work I saw $3.29 to 3.31. I don't even want to think what the heating oil bills are going to be this winter. My dh is an owner operator truck driver and I really fear how much it will continue to cost him just to work (he does not get reimbursed for fuel costs). Oh, well, we shall see! Hugs to all, Michele Fuel Prices Hi all, Hope everyone is doing good. Just wanted to see how other's are doing with Fuel/Gas prices. I came in last night checked the prices and it was 2.59 a gallon. Left this morning and looked and it was 3.19 a gallone. by the time I came home I seen lines at the stations so long just to get gas. I looked at the price and could not believe it. $5.00 per gallon. I called a few people I know to inform them of what was going on. They couldnt believe it either. I called the news station and informed them that this was going on. They sent a crew out. I sent my son out to see if the price went up since I had been home and he came back and said well Mom. If we had to go out we couldn't go anywhere. The road was backed up with cars trying to get gas. 30 minutes later the price went down to 4.00 per gallon. My son called the Govenor of Georgia office and told them about it. They said the gas shouldn't be no more than 3.19 per gallon at all stations. Big gap in that one. Well the news said if you see gas any higher to inform them at the Govenors office. This has gotten crazy here on prices. I went out later tonight and seen signs saying no gas. What's gas in your part of the world? Guest guest
Well I got all excited about paying just $1.20 per litre here in Aussieland. That's with an 8 cents per litre discount. They're telling us we'll soon be paying up to $3.00 per litre! Oh if my back wasn't so sore, I'd walk more!!!! :-} Jo > Hi all, > Hope everyone is doing good. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I've been amazed, seeing the prices for gas many of you have sent in from your local areas. I've grown accustomed to the higher cost of just about everything in Hawaii, so it was very shocking to see that some of you are actually paying more where you live than we are. Here in the Aloha state, for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline, they're charging (according to today's newspaper): $3.15 on Oahu, $3.27 on Kauai, $3.31 on Maui, $3.43 on Molokai, and $3.52 on Lanai. And expecting it to go even higher next week! I'll bet more people would be using public transportation at times like this, only we don't have the systems in place anywhere in the state - except for the busses they've got in Honolulu, on Oahu. A few weeks back I heard Jay Leno joking about how it's still cheaper to buy gas than a Starbucks coffee : ) Not for long, though! And it's no joking matter at all when you think about how, as said, people are going to need to pay for the heating of their homes once the weather gets cooler. Guest guest
Hi Georgina, I went out yesterday and couldn't find any regular gas. There was plenty of the Premium. But I am not buying the Premium fuel at the price they want. Ok lolol I have to get some today if I go out though. I told my hubby that we needed some horses now. Gas prices as of yesterday was 3.99 per gallon. I did hear that gas was 6.00 per gallon here in Atlanta. I am also worried about the Winter. If fuel prices have gone this high. People will do anything to keep warm. Meaning lighting up the Fireplaces. Please if you have to do this make sure the Fireplace is in good working order. All Smoke detectors have new batterys in it. I know some of you have to drive a good ways away to get Medical treatment for your child. I hope each one during this fuel shortage everyone has good days and can manage until the fuel drops. Here in Atlanta we have Public Transportation and I can get on it to get to a Hospital if needed. Robbin
Guest guest
Last night it was $2.99 and don't dare go looking around to see what it is today. One week ago we paid $2.49 to go to Louisville and Cincy. I'm afraid we will never see gas under $2 again. Becki
