Yes, I knew a child that had many seizures during the day and got treatment from

an upper cervical specialist and his seizures diminished considerably. This

doctor treats people with seizures and problems with their neck all the time.

You are not crazy!

Subject: [ ] Seizure free after 45 years

I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 15, had my first grand mal seizure

then. Over the years things got better to just having blackouts but I seemed to

always have a headache or like a 'band' around my forehead. About 10 years ago

I was having some therapy done to my back and this happened to be about the time

I was having the darkest time in my life, I was up to several blackouts a day

and this had been going on for a few days, something that was uncommon for me.

I was getting some p.t. done and in the process the gal popped a muscle loose

that was down deep in my upper back/shoulder area. The next day I didn't have

any seizures/blackouts, or any of the following days. I have released the

muscles in my neck and the headaches are no longer there as the 'band' of pain

is also gone. The dr.'s say there isn't any connection between the two things

and yet for all the difference it has made to me I am having a hard time

believing that. I am

wondering if amyone else seems to have any constant headaches or neck type

pains. Anyone who would like to share I would appreciate it as well as answer

any questions you have for me. Thanks.

Our Natural Health Practisioner told us that seizures can also be caused by a

misalignment in the neck and that a good Chiropractist can often correct this

problem.

http://theuppercervicalblog.blogspot.com/2010/02/headneck-misalignment-may-cause\

-what.html

From the above link, " What can head/neck misalignment do to me?

Head/neck misalignment and the accompanying irritation to the nerve system has

been related to headaches, migraines, nervousness, insomnia, head colds, nervous

" breakdowns " , anxiety, difficulty concentrating, ear infections, hormonal

problems, menstrual difficulties, depression, " brain fog " , low IQ, low

resistance to disease, low overall brain function, digestive problems, sinus

troubles, allergies, crossed eyes, deafness, eye troubles, fainting spells and

seizures as well as many other conditions.. "

Hi -

I have a question during this time when you were having the therapy and going

through a dark time in your life, did anything change in your diet such as

eating habits or lack of eating?

Have a Happy and Healthy Day,

No, not at that time. I had in the past tried to watch what I was eating but

it never seemed to make any differnce so I gave up on it, figured if I had to

have one thing I still wanted to enjoy life so I ate what i wanted. Sleep has

never seemed to play a part in it either, just the pain. Of course I had pain

for years but never put it together for this was all information that my dr.'s

had and they never went down that path. Thank you for your reply.
