Guest guest
Hi , I don't know where to begin. But essentially to put the most favorable construction on your orientation towards naturally curing your condition(s), your information is incomplete. You must come to realize that the field of medicine and what is called " health care " are some of THE most profitable industries in the American Economy. The pharmaceutical industry is the largest contributor to medical school education in the country. They do not intend to put themselves out of business by teaching young doctors that natural and even artificial drugs whose patent has run out, are more effective than the latest prescription drugs. regardless of how many of them have to be taken off the market (like Vioxx and Rezulin-while irresponsibly leaving Horse Estrogen Replacement Therapy on the market)because they cause more DEATHS than lives saved. You say you do not believe in Chelation. But what if it works in spite of your belief---please take another look. One of the principles behind Chelation is to find a way to detoxify the body of some of the poisons that are upsetting the system. If your liver and kidney are efficient enough, you may be able to do it without receiving IV Chelation tretments which are probably what you " do not believe in. " There are other ways and many of them are advanced by the DAN doctors you have disparaged. Please consider that the source of your information on DAN doctors and doctors practicing chelation therapy may be strongly biased by need of competing professionals(doctors and hospitals) to mischaracterize their competition so as to make sure you do not take your care to their competitor. The sad history of the use of the word " quackery " to discourage patients from using (phytonutrient or fresh juice Gerson Therapy) for what eventually turned out to be some of the most universally accepted methods of preventing and even curing cancer, should raise your antennae of suspicion. You say you are developing Lupus. One of the most effective natural treatments is taking Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) a hormone that declines as you age. This 2008 study of DHEA in Lupus from Current Rheumatololgy Reports, should be of help. _http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18662508?ordinalpos=1 & itool=EntrezSystem2. PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_DefaultReportPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum) You can find many other articles from peer reviewed medical journals on Medline _http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez_ (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez) DHEA is available in health food stores without a prescription. You may also be concerned that you have a difficult and complicated case and need to see a Medical Doctor specializing in these areas. Some of the doctors who are more receptive to Alternative Medical treatments are members of the American College for the Advancement of Medicine (ACAM) you can look up the names and locations of some of their doctors at _www.acam.org_ (http://www.acam.org) or American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) _www.aaem.org_ (http://www.aaem.org/) American Association of Naturopathic Physicians _www.naturopathic.org_ (http://www.naturopathic.org/) International College of Integrative Medicine _www.icimed.com_ (http://www.icimed.com/) Arnold arnold **************AOL Search: Your one stop for directions, recipes and all other Holiday needs. Guest guest
Arnold, I completely agree with you here. My son has intractible epilepsy, as we have tried clonapin, vigabatrin, zonegram, and prednisone. We recently started seeing a DAN. My son is not autistic, I am seeing the DAN exclusively for seizure control and cognitive improvement. Glutathione IVs have been wonderful for him, he has experienced significant gains in cognitive ability, energy levels, and a decrease in seizures. However, as days go by without the IV, his seizure count goes back to normal levels. We are now exploring other methods of administration for the glutathione, as the IV administration is very traumatic for him. Soon we will chelate too, as my son has tested high for metals in his system. Please keep an open mind about alternative treatments. There are so many families that find great success here. > > Hi , > I don't know where to begin.
