It is hard because children and adults probably need something individualized and that isn't easy to do without seeing a practitioner who can test for what they need Here is the danger of fluoride info on my webpage http://www.wellwithin1.com/fluoride.htm Thanks sheri >Can anyone help clarify things for me? Guest guest
We don't do extra fluoride. We can't do much about the water at daycare, but we have a reverse-osmosis filter. Fluoride doesn't need to be taken internally. It's really only useful topically (like on a toothbrush). It always boggles my mind that drs will prescribe fluoride, when toothpaste tubes have huge warnings about not letting children under 6 swallow even a pea-sized amount. Here's more about Fl: http://www.fluoridealert.org/ We have an Elephant Pharmacy, and they sell numerous vitamins for children. It's harder to find vitamins for kids under age 2. Really, they don't need them so much. I like Jack (2) to have the extra Vitamin C. I asked the pharmacist at Elephant Pharm and she directed me. I recommend going to a store like that. Sorry if this wasn't much help. ~Robyn Molly wrote: > > Hi, > I know there has been some mention of appropriate multi vitamins to > give toddlers, hoping I can get some more info. > > I have a one year old, and her doc just prescribed a multi with > flouride. Guest guest
Definitely don't do the fluoride. And I would check on the " why " of giving vitamins. Always look at food-based vitamins - they are much more expensive, but more readily absorbed by the body. Synthetic vitamins may be cheap but they're useless and often dangerous. I think one good choice is Floradix - liquid vitamin supplement. You can mix it with juice - I think it has herbs and other things in it too. Much info there if you Google it.
