Guest guest
Hi and list, Individual pills of B-6 or B-12 might not work. Adelle in her book " Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit " the first nutrition book I ever used, said that individual members of the B Complex may not work individually. These occur in nature together and may need co factors to assimilate and work. Try taking the whole B Complex and make sure you are also getting the nutrients from real whole foods, not just pills. For good food sources of B Complex and trace minerals see message # 14,913 in the archives _messages/ _ (messages/ ) arnold
Guest guest
Folks, There are different kinds of B6. Check the Life Extension web site for information. Injectable B12 is the best. However, sublingual will work as well--but not as well. B6 is very important for cognitive functioning. It is needed in almost all synthesizing of different nutrients that the brain needs to function well. The more one reads about B6 the more one is sure that supplementation is necessary, especially with seizure disorders, but the dosage has to tailored to the over all program and medications that the person is taking. B12 is quite necessary as well. It is almost impossible to take too much B12. I inject one to two ml per week and I still don't get to the upper ranges in any blood test. Three physicians (MD's) have confirmed my own use of injectable B12 by telling me that they (the medical community) can't understand why this works--and makes me feel better as part of an over-all program--but that they hear this all the time. I have been doing this for 23 years. The B complex is necessary as well as Arnold mentioned. What we are looking for here are anomalies that are specific to seizure disorders--and our own individual bodies. Yes, the diet is the first line of concern. However, the argument of whether one can get all their necessary nutrients from their food supply has been beaten to death twenty years ago. One needs the whole bowl of soup from mediation to supplements to a steller diet to help support and deal with seizures. Happy B6 hunting, arnoldgore@... wrote: Hi and list, Individual pills of B-6 or B-12 might not work.
