Guest guest
I am talking with my doctor (naturo/homeopath as well as acupuncturist) about weaning me off Tegretol while introducing other remedies. I'm quite determined to get off Tegretol, which I've taken for 13 years and have suffered memory problems from it, I'm quite sure. Not to mention what it could do to my liver. I've never achieved 100% seizure control even with pharmaceuticals, so I'm not even expecting a full cure from an " alternative " approach, but I'm wondering about others' experience with various therapies? Biofeedback isn't on the table for me, but rather homeopathy, acupuncture, and a remedy that my brilliant doctor made himself that has already stopped an advanced warning aura that I get (metallic taste). He's already helped me improve my health greatly in other areas (such as allergies and an orthopedic condition) through natural medicine and I trust him. I have complex partial and tonic-clonic seizures, the latter mostly nocturnal or secondary generalized from complex partial. Though I have a driver's license, I don't have a car and so don't depend on being able to drive. I'm at a good place to make a change in my approach to seizure control and would be encouraged by other's success stories. I'd also like to hear from any who have tried other methods and failed. Eyes wide open. Very glad to find this list. ~
