Guest guest
Hello Arnold, Thank you so much for thinking of us. I had actually read that same article from Dr. Mercola's site and sent them a question....this was their response... (I think because it is so new treatment there's not a lot of info. out there yet) (I'm having a hard time finding recent posts on the site...when I hit messages the most recent one that comes up is the end of July ?? weird! I can't log on to respond via to the more recent posts so I'm just responding through my own email.) Hi Sophie, Thank you for your e-mail. One of our concerns is that when the spine loses the normal lordotic curves, it then puts the scoliosis curve in for strength and flexibility. Unfortunately, surgery does not address this problem. Therefore, treatment, even after surgery, can still be beneficial. I haven't written anything on this yet, as it is very new. I have seen improvement in the patients we have worked on with surgery. This usually shows as an improvement in symptoms and function. I hope that helps. Sincerely, Dr. Dennis Woggon I just read an article about The Clear Institute through Dr. Mercola's web site regarding a new Scoliosis treatment. We have a 19 yr.old special needs (CP etc.) daughter that underwent 'corrective' surgery for severe scoliosis at the tender age of 13 because it was so far along and her lung was already compromised. My question is....is there something in your " articles " section that addresses whether this new treatment is beneficial post surgery??? Thanks for your help. Sophie [ ] Alternative Treatment for Scoliosis Hi Sophie, Dr.Mercola had this good article on a treatment for scoloiosis. I hope it can help after the surgery too, but he doesn't say. _http://www.mercola.com/2006/sep/2/treating_scoliosis_without_surgery.htm_ (http://www.mercola.com/2006/sep/2/treating_scoliosis_without_surgery.htm) arnold
