Dear friends,

I have come so far to find this file:

Worm file (?) " Winstall.exe " with an " a " attribute on the C:\ level (DOS).

I went back to windows and opened it by wordpad, and the words in there

reminded me of the ones that had appeared on the screen when my computer caught

the

worm. There was also the recommendation in it to buy " SpySheriff " .

Now the crucial question:

The file refuses any deletion or access with the " attrib " programme. How else

can I remove the " a " attribute? Otherwise I cannot delete it.

Is there a safe way to del a file that carries the " a " attribute?

Any input would be much appreciated.

Invisible from the Windows level dustbin, but visible on the DOS level, there

were more than 500 files

beginning with " DC " followed by digits, with the suffix " .tmp " .

I deleted those. They had all been in the C:\recycled\ folder. I did have the

impression when I deleted them from the dustbin they were establishing

themselves elsewhere, because the amount of files stayed around the same.

I am asking cordially for you input!

Warmly,

Katharina
