While I haven’t been following a totally holistic approach to my daughter’s

epilepsy, I use a number of nutritional and dietary programs to help her

along the way. Because of it, she is doing better than any of her

neurologists expected. When we took her to Dr. Olsen at Stanford, he was

rather shocked at how well she was doing considering what her EEG’s and

MRI’s looked like.

She presently is one low dose Lamictal and Topamax, but she is also on 4

grams of taurine, 1 gram of vitamin C, a multivitamin from Pharmax with DHA,

probiotics and Peltier electrolytes. She is also on a diet which eliminates

foods which cause pro-inflammatory reactions based on the LEAP test from

Signet Diagnostics.

I'm trying, my son has never been on medication, but I need to keep going as

its

controlled at times. Am looking into the LEAP test but I live in the UK so

probably won't be available to us.

Hi ,

My son was on Depakote for several months when all this began but soon

tapered off. It made him lethargic, we did not like seeing him that way nor did

he. Soon after being done with that drug I was now done with work so I was going

to be home , so this also helped out tremendously.

We have gone thorough spouts of trying ketogenic diet and just eating totally

wholesome foods. But as always he seems to fall back to a old way of habits but

we are sure further along then we used to prior to seizures.

My son starting last summer, I followed his headaches, he was not having

these full blown seizures, what would happen:

get dizzy

throw up

then needs to sleep it off

It was like he had to much to drink (but no drinky's for him)

Far cry from a full blown seizure but it still made it to were he would not be

a part of life for a bit and it would get in the way of some activity he would

be doing. For some reason it would happen every 3 weeks almost like clock work.

I was talking to a herbalist and she suggested parasite, the larva re hatches

every 3 weeks, it was the only thing that made sense. I already new about

parasite but put it in the back of my mind in fact once before I started him on

a parasite cleanse once before, but I must need to do another one.

We started doing Dr Hulda es www.curezone.com parasite cleanse and mid

way threw it he had a full blown seizure, scared me to death his lips even

turned blue, only lasted a minute but as you all know it felt like eternity. I

thought God, " am I doing something wrong and something told me to keep on

going. " We are now done with the parasite program we will need to just keep on

the weekly herbs to kill the re hatching of the eggs to keep it all in check.

And now to help sweep up the mess that is left in the colon I am using Formula

why don't I do all this for my son, You can lead a horse to water but cant make

them drink. I couldn't make him follow everything that I do. It was making me

go crazy ( That was not helpful), but over the last year he has tried many

things that I have now gently put his way and all has worked out. We went from

Grand Mal to Drunkenness symptoms and having to sleep it off to just a headache.

So we have made it far, real far. Then when we did the last parasite cleanse I

am hoping that it made a ugly parasite rear it ugly head, this weekend will be 3

weeks since that happened so we will see if we killed it off. Time will tell if

I am following down the right path.

But I do know if any illness can enter the body, it sure can exit I am living

proof.

I know if I keep trying with him we will get to the solution to this problem.

He will encounter enough life style changes that will build better help for

him.
