Hello all. I am new to this site, new to any message boards actually, so please

forgive me asking questions that have I am sure been asked hundreds of times on

this board. With all of the posts it gets kind of daunting trying to find

specific things. I have read a few things on Mr. Freels and appreciate all of

the work he has done in helping children get the care they need. My name is

and my wife and I are firefighters in metro Atlanta, Ga. We found about

about 2 mo. ago that our 11 mo. old has CP. I have done a little research on

the use of HBOT for this and I am very excited. We are also accepted to Duke

University for the stem cell program and are going in late August. Some of the

literature on whether or not Medicaid (we are in the process of getting on the

K.B. waiver) pays for the HBOT is sometimes confusing. Is there a special

process or paperwork needed for this to be covered? How many visits are covered

if it is? If she is too young, at what age should I be looking at starting this

procedure? Also what are the pros and cons of getting it done at a facility and

buying a home unit? Obviously, any medical procedure under the direct

supervision of a physician is optimal, but the cost of travel, hotels,

treatment, etc. can accumulate. Any other information that you could give

someone new to this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
