Guest guest Posted December 12, 2010 Report Share Posted December 12, 2010 Hi Luke, > I feel your pain...I too have malfunctioning adrenal glands...I had a very expensive test done by my Endocrinologist and also saliva by my natropathic Doctor...I think the only way for me to describe what it's like having an adrenal problem is that it feels like you're in a stupor all the time, you have to lead your body like a slave to do even the simplest things. I also know that salt is important for healing the adrenal cortex. I went to see another muckie muck Endocrinologist at UCLA who specializes in adrenal dysfunction and has written several books on the subject. He had me on 2 Teaspoons of salt a day...I've just switched over to 1.5 to be on Bee's diet. Usually if you have an adrenal problem you have other glands that are malfunctioning as well and evey gland in my endocrine system is malfunctioning...I was taking 6 drugs before I started Bee's diet. Here is a link to a great article, it quotes Dr. Tintera and Dr. Hans Selye. It states as I've copied a part of it below...that to heal the adrenals you need, fat, salt and Vitamin " C " . Exactly what we are eating on this diet...So I'm hoping that after being sick for at least 20 years, Or maybe I was born with an adrenal weakness, who knows? I'm hoping that this diet is the answer. I hear you about having to quit a job and school. My son has the same thing and he too couldn't finish college.....because of the symptoms of Adrenals....Hope it helps, Gail (curlygirl) > > P.S.
