Guest guest Posted December 6, 2001 Report Share Posted December 6, 2001 Dear Cliff, I wanted to ask you about the specific effects of flaxseed oil+ccheese. I have been giving it to my mom for about 10 days, beginning with 1 tablespoon and up to 4. However, some days before starting with it, my mom began to have more stomach movement, and it increased with the flaxseed. The last exams said my mom had a bacteria schericha collie, so she is taking some pills for it, and the nurse have stopped giving her the falxseed oil this week, at least until the new exams which are given today. The thing is that she is afraid that, seeing my mom eating not much food, she is taking the few food eaten out of her stomach, so she could be " dehydratated " . Any thoughtss??? My husband is using Flax Oil and Seed. He does have some gallstones. I don't think 3 months using Flax could have caused them. Also, be sure to calculate in shipping - while they are cheaper when buying in bulk usually, they aren't significantly cheaper when calculating in shipping. Also the site is sometimes difficult to get around. It is so good on stir fry veggies! NOT the brands that add soy but straight up sesame oil. And cultured butter is not the same as clarified, is it? I can't find clarified butter in a grocery store... Guest guest Posted January 11, 2011 Report Share Posted January 11, 2011 Hi Sharona, Sesame oil, especially roasted sesame oil is not good for us because it gets damaged during the processing and becomes rancid. Rancid oils are toxic. Clarified butter and ghee are basically the same thing. Clarified butter is made at a lower temperature. Cultured butter is butter made from fermented cream. You may need to go to a health food store to find these. There is a link for ghee on Bee's website if you want to order online.
