So I thought what the heck lets do it! So today i went to get my splint and I realized.... CRAP this thing is made out of very hard plastic... is this going to be a problem? Are toxins going to be released from the plastic into my mouth while I sleep?? I'm getting really fed up with this cracking jaw situation and i was so looking forward to it getting better.... > +++Hi Taryn, You did not get jaw problems by chewing too much gum as a teen. Look at cows and other animals who chew their cud all day long, yet they don't get jaw problems. Eskimo women chewed on animal skins to soften them for making clothing yet they didn't have jaw problems. Your jaw problems are caused by the same 4 things that cause any health problems, which are: 1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen. 2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste. 3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc. 4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception. So a splint won't help you, and yes the plastic is an issue. Jaw health comes from within, mainly by consuming " proper nutrients " which are the diet and supplements on this program. That will time and patience. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Taryn, Just a heads up about this. I had a night guard many years ago and eventually found out that the mold was made when my jaw was out of place. I found a chiropractor that would help me keep my jaw in place and gave up the guard. Because my jaw was " out " it wasn't helping at all and in fact gave me even worse headaches. I do not have any issues with my jaw anymore as long as I periodically have my chiropractor adjust it. Good luck > > I went to the dentist because I was having problems with my jaw, I have TMJ from chewing too much gum as a teen. As a result my jaw cracks and gets sore and gives me headaches. Guest guest
I'd like to dissuade you from the mouth piece. Beyond the toxicity of the material is the fact that they change the position of your jaw and in many cases, not for the good. I believed dentists and TMJ pain specialists have limited avenues for help. There are online support groups for people with TMJ and you will get the pros and cons on many treatments. After a consultation with Bee, I've cut back on caffiene and sugar and have had some relief of pain in the jaw. AND, the supplements have made a big difference. I think the B's are very settling on the system and the extra fats are calming as well. Just what the jaw, neck and shoulders need. If you are in acute pain, try physical therapy and concentrate on the neck and shoulders. Stretching those areas alleviates much pain. Sincerely, Louise
