Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, I have been having pain in both my elbows recently and I am worried that it is because of a lack of calcium in my diet. I'm not retracing anything either. This has never been an issue in my life till last month. I know that if you eat bone broth everyday you don't have to worry about supplementing but still worried. +++Hi there. What is your name please? If you had a lack of, or imbalance, in calcium/magnesium you'd be getting leg and foot cramps, and not pain in your elbows. +++You say it isn't retracing, but remember that injuries, strains, etc. are also retraced. However, most pains like that are caused by toxins, which can move around the body as you are healing. > > So when I make my bone broth, I just let the meat and bones sit in acv for a half hour to an hour then bring to a boil then I simmer for 5 hours then pull the meat and bones out. Then I just take the meat off the bones and then I just throw the bones away and make soup with the broth that I made. > > Am I not getting enough minerals out of the bones because I'm not cooking them for longer after I pull the meat out? I eat soup at least 12 meals a week and I have pretty decent serving size meals. Am I getting enough calcium for this or should I be cooking my bones for longer? And is my pain caused from a lack of calcium? If not any idea what could be causing my pain? +++You should make it correctly since you would get many more minerals out of the bones: 1) You shouldn't soak bones that have meat on them beforehand - it should be done after pulling the meat off. 2) Pulling the meat off after 5 hours means it would have been cooked too much - you should be pulling it off when it is cooked to medium. 3) After pulling the meat off you should put only the bones back in the broth and soak them in AVC or lemon for the recommended amount of time (which is according to the kind of bones).
