Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > > I've got my husband's interest in changing over to a high protein/veggie diet. +++Hi Janet. That's great news! However this is not a high protein/veggie diet. This diet is actually high " good " fats, moderate protein and veggies. > His concerns, is that all of this protein and fat will clog his arteries. What can I tell him or read to make him feel secure about this? +++It isn't good meats, eggs and " good " fats that clog arteries, instead it is caused by high-carb diets, loaded with sugars and starches, unnatural damaging fats and oils, grains, toxins, etc. In fact the cholesterol theory is totally false as my article explains. +++Here's some references: Cholesterol and Heart Disease: A Phony Issue http://www.westonaprice.org/know-your-fats/538-cholesterol-and-heart-disease-a-p\ hony-issue.html What Causes Heart Disease? http://www.westonaprice.org/modern-diseases/cardiovascular-disease/585-what-caus\ es-heart-disease.html Myths & Truths About Cholesterol: http://www.westonaprice.org/modern-diseases/cardiovascular-disease/1687-myths-a-\ truths-about-cholesterol.html Here's a great website, which is all about Cholesterol: http://www.cholesterol-and-health.com/ Here a group of doctors, scientists, etc. from around the World, called The International Network of Cholesterol Skeptics (THINCS), founded by Uffe Ravnskov, MD, PhD, who wrote the book The Cholesterol Myths: http://www.thincs.org/ Here's Uffe Ravnskov's website: http://www.ravnskov.nu/uffe.htm >>> Also, been doing the diet for about 5 to 6 weeks. I was on thyroid meds for a 11/2 years because for my hair falling out and eyebrows thinning. Since, I been on diet my hair has completely stopped falling out and my eyebrows are starting to show signs of grow! I am so happy!!! +++That's wonderful Janet! If you have only been on thyroid meds for 1 1/2 years (or was that 11 years?) your thyroid should already be starting to normalize itself, so you need to stop taking the meds otherwise it will throw your thyroid into a tizzy, going from low to high, so it won't be able to become normal again. That is because it takes 1 month of healing for every year you've had a health issue. That's how I lost my thyroid in 1986. All the best, Bee
