Magnesium/Calcium

I have been on Bee's protocal since June of this year and my occular and facial

ea are almost clear. At least people don't stare at me any more. I will

write about this later.

I still gag on the egg drink and find taking 4T coconut oil about my limit.

I am taking all of the supplements and have been for the past 4 months.

I am wondering if I am taking the correct amount of MA and CA:

Solary Calcium Cotrate 500 mg a day

NOW Mag. Citrate 400mg a day

I am questioning these amounts because I am having constant leg/feet

cramps. Not the big " Charlie Horse " type cramps, but small cramps constantly

in the front and back of my thighs, lower leg and feet. It's as if a larger

cramp is coming but never does. This is not retracing as I have never had

these before this past few weeks.

Should I alter my supplements?

Thanks,

Lois

+++Hi Lois. You should be taking a total of 600 mg of each, which is taken in 2

doses of 300 mg each. Your body can only handle a maximum of 500 mg of calcium

at a time so taking one dose of 500 mg is okay, but you need an additional 100

mg.

Also you need 200 mg more of magnesium per day. Start with ensuring your doses

are correct, and allow time for your body to adjust to the changes. After 5

days or maybe less, you shouldn't cramps.

Also if you have too many foods or teas that are diuretic (meaning they get rid

of water) they will also wash out minerals. Foods that are diuretic are green

vegetables (some people go overboard on them) and of course most tea. Also

ensure you are not having any kind of " green " drinks or products like

chlorophyll, chlorella, etc. which are also diuretic.

If you take baking soda to settle your stomach, be cautious not to have too

much, since it is high in sodium which can throw off mineral balances. I think 2

teaspoons total per day is okay, taken in 1/4 teaspoon doses at a time.

People who like sardines get more calcium - 300 mg in every can - that can also

throw off the cal/mag ratio, in which case you would lower your calcium on days

when you eat a full can.

Minerals can only be utilized in the body if you get all of the good fats too,

including cod liver oil and good saturated fats and vitamin E.

All the best, Bee

Bee,

Thank you very much.

I adjusted the amount and will take 2 CA and 3 MAG pills for a total

of 600mg each divided by 2 times a day.

I do not drink tea, take any baking soda (except as an eye wash), and

sardines are not a food that I can eat (gag facture).

+++Hi Lois,

That's good you are adjusting your cal/mag.

I'm one of those strange people who like sardines but they are not for everyone.

:(

Happy New Year!
