The Little Boy, The Pigelt and The Elf in The Well!

Once upon a time there was a little boy and a piglet. One night the

little boy and the piglet were dreaming at the same time. Their dreams

met in dreamland and got stuck together. After that whenever they dreamed

they would dream together. The little boy would dream piglet dreams and

the piglet would dream little boy dreams. They didn't know their dreams

were stuck together so the little boy thought he was dreaming little boy

dreams and the piglet thought he was dreaming piglet dreams.

One day the piglet climbed up on the edge of a well and looked down and

saw the elf in the well. Now elfland is very close to dreamland. You and

I can't see elfland because we're too far away from it; we're too close

to the wakeaday world. But the piglet and the little boy were closer to

dreamland because they were dreaming for two so the piglet could see the

elf in the well.

The elf in the well was very surprised that the piglet could see him. He

grumbled because he would have to grant the piglet wishes. He told the

piglet that he could only grant simple wishes. A genie in a lamp has

great powers but elves in a well are simple folk.

The little boy and the piglet made their wishes but they got stuck

together and mixed up just like their dreams. The piglet would wish to

wallow in the mud and the little boy would wish to skip and jump. The

little boy would wallow in the mud and the piglet would skip and jump.

They didn't notice because little boy wishes and piglet wishes are very

much alike.

One day the piglet came to the well. He made a wish that he could be

grown up. The little boy made a wish that he could be grown up. The elf

in the well was very sad. He didn't want to grant this wish but he had to

because elves have to grant wishes if they can.

So he granted the piglet's wish and he granted the little boy's wish. The

little boy became a young man and the piglet became a young pig. And the

young man never dreamed little boy dreams again and the young pig never

dreamed piglet dreams again.

Their dreams went their separate ways and they never saw the elf in the

well again.
