Guest guest
Well I dug through the ice and snow and bitter cold to make the docs and the report was not what I would have liked but not a surprise either....seems the old knee is shot (or should be, lol). I am down to no space so bone on bone with the developement of bone spurs. I have lost alot of mobility and stiffness is major. I got it injected and it seems better. I am praying the injection holds me for a while (a long while). Surgery is never a good option for me but the doc assured me things have improved with anesthesia. I will need to have the knee replaced eventually but beleive me it wait til I have no choice..... On another note I hope that all well and warm. here in the Ohio Valley we are cold and snowed and iced in for the most part. Some of our roads are clean but where I am is horrible. My van is currently stuck which means I am stuck!!!! YUK! But it is Christmas and spending time at home has its advantages.... Happy Holidays! Guest guest
Hi Donna, I am sorry to hear about your knee - but pleased and impressed, as usual with your hang tough spirit! We had a little dusting of snow, and worse freezing rain and ice about a week before Christmas, we were coming home from a friends house 45 minutes away (it took 2 1/4 hours) -and Robbie was so excited, hoping for a White Christmas - and I was grumbling in the front seat - but nothing like what you guys have endured. Robbie finally said - Mom, don't you like a White Christmas? I told him absolutely, if all my errand were done, and I didn't have to go to work, and I could stay home and drink hot chocolate with him and play games, I would love to look outside at a White Christmas - but it was still a week away, and I still had to get out in it! We laughed then, and he did get a two hour ice/snow delay for school the next day -but it's been clear since. Robbie said he had a nice Christmas anyway, and Mr. White Christmas told me two days after Christmas that now that Christmas is past, he wanted winter to go away too! Wishing you and your beautiful family (loved the picture!) a wonderful New Year full of happiness and pain free! Guest guest
Hey Val and my lil friend Robbie aka Mr. White Christmas....we had enough white christmas for the both of us and I will share a photo when I get them. As for winter and the white stuff I am with ya pal..it can all go away! LOL! Here in Louisville we have seen record lows this week and now they say we may see a record high Friday...so both the low and high records broke within one week...as they say if you dont like it stick around, it will change! The only thing is ol man arthur hates the changes....irregardless ...hang tight and hang tough! Hugs! Donna
