Great article LouAnne.. Once I finally got the magazine away from my

daughter and got a chance to read it. LOL

Congrats.. The more articles published, the more exposure cochlear

implants get. Way to go!

Hi Everyone:

My husband bought me the latest edition of Woman's World Magazine to read

while waiting for Alyssa's surgery, recovery, etc. There is a short story

(love)

on the last page of a young woman with arthritis. Nothing technical, just

feeling like she will never find someone to accept her the way she is and the

chance encounter that leads to the love of her life. Just thought I'd pass this

along in case anyone wants to read it.

Take care.

I am not much of an expert but... I never believe any claims of losing more

than 1 pound a week for a normal weight person. Heavier people can lose more

initially but as you get closer to your healthy weight range your loss slows

down. Think about this claim of losing 1 pound a day basically. To lose 1

lb. PER DAY you need to burn more than 3,500 calories PER DAY. Your workouts

would be so insane to burn this much that you would not be able to sustain

this routine for an entire month. Your body would give out on you first. I

used to think the more I worked out the better, WRONG!!! I worked out 11 times

a week and pretty intensely too. I ended up with so many medical problems

and was constantly getting sick because my body was so worn down. There are

no quick weight loss diets that work, nor can you get a fantastic body by

using the BowFlex for only 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week. LOL I wish all

the

companys that placed these ads had to also show all the " in between " stuff

too. They know just what not to say in order for it to be false advertising.

Just my opinion.

Hi,

Sent out a bunch of questions to the group a while

back, not too much of a response. But, I wanted to

run something by you guys (ladies). I found an old

article from Woman's World regarding BFL, some of the

menus contain 1/4 c. hi fiber cereal mix with 2T nuts

and 2 T dried fruit as a snack for instance.

Some breakfasts include, lowfat WW waffles with 1 T.

natural PB with 1/2 banana,

this woman claims to have lost 30 lbs in 30 days,

doing menus like this and eating every 3 hours. Also

started each day with a protein shake with 1 T. flax

oil and a fruit.

Possible?

She says she went from 185 to 155 in a month.

Thanks for feedback.

Deb

Sharon, I couldn't have said it better! It's such a waste of energy trying to

figure out what works better or faster. Like you said, all of the tactics used

in this kind of advertising do not support a long term journey to health and

fitness.

Deb, just follow the program and you will see results I promise! But you can't

have unrealistic expectations. Losing 1-2 lbs is all you can lose safely in a

week. I know you mentioned before that you are working towards a goal in the

near future (month or so), but there's only so much progress you're gonig to be

able to make until then.

If you follow BFL with integrity for a month, you could probably only lose 8-10

lbs, but you will see so many other results that people will notice. You will

look and feel 100% than where you are now. At least you can share with people

what you're doing and where you're going. People will appreciate that your

making a commitment to transform your body and your life. I can almost guarantee

that they won't have any appreciation if you show up on the latest " fad " diet.

I started this program at 320 lbs and I have never lost more than 2 lbs in one

week (except for the first week, which was probably mostly water weight). Slowly

but surely, I have gotten rid of 56 of those lbs so far. So set some realistic

goals, and don't fool yourself that you're not in for a long haul. Lastly, it's

not all about the numbers. Just eat clean and train hard this month and people

will notice a big difference in so many ways!

Have you started the program yet? If so, how's it going?

Girl, you hit it right on the nose, and no offense to Woman's World, but a lot

of the ad's they run are running that fine line on false advertising. They also

have people summit their own stories of weight loss, and I do not know how

accurately they research it, before running the ad. Don't believe everything

you here out there. Do your research!! Even the news and 20/20 lately have

been running a lot of false information, well not all false. But, they DO NOT

tell you all the facts. 20/20 had a show on about a week ago. It was called

food myths. There 1# claim was that, " Does a person really need to consume 8,

8oz glasses of water a day? " Well, no, we don't need to...but, it makes our

bodies run smoother, our skin clearer, our minds clearer, and gives you more

energy. The more you drink the better. But, I suppose you don't need 8oz,

every single day. Well, they had a doctor that has been doing research on this,

and stated you get enough water from your food. We really

only need to consume, 8 oz a day. You can get water from coffee, tea, and

juices. He used WHITE BREAD, of all things (so good and healthy for us), as an

example. He stated that white bread was 60% water. Coffee and tea will

dehydrate you, so you need even more water to catch up...if your drinking a lot

of that. Juice is empty calories (all sugar, and no fiber), and most American

are eating french fries, and big macs as their food...how much water is in

that??? My whole point to this drama is that by giving this false information

to the public. Now there are people that are not only not eating right, but now

also thinking they do not need their water. It all filters down to, DO YOU

RESEARCH. Even the information you hear on this site. Research it. This is

the only body you will have, don't believe everything you hear, or read. Think

to yourself. Is this truly logical or even scientifically possible. Then go

from there.

Sorry , I'm so winded on the subject. I just am so sick of all the false

information, that I have been seeing lately, on T.V., and radio. I feel as if

the media, and the weight loss industry have secretly gotten married or

something. The media is out to get America fatter, and the weight loss, and

plastic surgeons are out to get rich off of the whole deal.

30 lbs of water?

i'll take it.

Thanks for all your input. Realistic but depressing,

don't know whether to head for the treadmill or the

twinkies (just kidding, I hate Twinkies ;) )

I know, I will be a grown up about this, but I DON'T

WANNA!

Girl,

If you could see me shaking my finger at you....

You don't want to lose just 30 pounds of water. One week of binging, and it's

back. Then you'll be more depressed, and mad for gaining, all your water back.

Seriously follow the diet, you'll thank yourself later, I promise. Nothing is

easy. But, this program will transform both your inner self, and outer to.

People will take notice. They did with me almost instantly. You have some time

before your trip. Take the 8-10 pounds of loss and go with it. Confidence is a

wonderful thing, and it will shine through even if you still have the weight to

lose, so respect yourself enough to following this diet, and on your trip people

will take notice in the new and transforming Debbie, and when you see them say,

next year your not only gonna WOW, them with your stunning muscles, but your

inner self will be what they will remember. Trust Me.

You can do this!!!!
