Guest guest
- Hi Chloe, Thanks for the links. I discovered at work today that one of our patients has been treated with mtx for approxiamtely 3 years. Low and behold she doesn't have a script for folic acid. She has had a host of complaints, including gi distress. I printed some folic acid info for her dr. and we were able to get it ordered. She was also getting the mtx right before lunch. I spoke with the nurses and asked them to administer it an hour or two after supper. They agreed to make the change. Its nice to be able to pass on some help to others. To bad her dr. wasn't more on top of things. Sometimes though the elderly can truly be our fogotten generation.
