Guest guest
& All, Hello! I wouldn't get too excited about the ribbon just yet. It's mostly a grass roots effort right now. I found out about it on the Arthritis Foundation's parenting message board. People there started talking about wanting one and debating what color(s) it should be. They came up with the gray/aqua combo because gray is already used for children with disabilities and aqua was the avaliable color everyone agreed on. Unfortunately there's been some talk about the AF not wanting our kids recognized separately!? At any rate, some of the parents have been buying ribbon and making pins to pass out at different JA gatherings. There is also a father that is doing car magnets so if anyone is interested in that I would go check out the AF Parenting board. His name is , maybe if he's on this list he'll chime in? I just took the idea and ran with it by making ribbon graphics for use on web pages and starting a WebRing. You can find the graphics here: http://www.ribbonomatic.com/matic/graphics/90700.html and here: http://www.ribbonomatic.com/matic/graphics/90701.html and the WebRing here: http://d.webring.com/hub?ring=kidslivingwithar Just hoping to bring a little more awareness to these poor kids of ours! , mom to (10, poly) (7) & Caity (3)
