Guest guest
, Hello. I just read your post and i felt the same thing. My daughter was diagnosed in oct. 2000 at the age of 6 and that is after 9 months of Dr's and tests, shriners and finally a rhummy. when she looked at her she said to me " she has Polyarticular JRA " she had not even looked at anything i had brung with me such as the bone scan, blood work or x-rays. I started to cry and i mean really cry. I have worked in a nursing home as an nursing assistant for 9 years at that time and all i could think of way my baby being crippled like them. well i have to say this group has helped me ALOT... Hearing all the other people out there with children with the same problems some worse and some better has helped. she is now 10 and is doing great!. she is currently on 2 pills of the MTX every week and folic acid. ( was on vioxx till the recalled it and the Dr said lets try her with out anything and see how she does and so far so good thank god) she also has done soccer for the past 3 years and this year was my little cheerleader for the little gridders football.. she is amazing the Dr. said last time we were there that she cannot believe how well she is doing she said when i first brought her in she was in awe because she had it so severe and in practically every joint in her body. i just hope that we keep going in the right direction. I do have pics of her doing her cheerleading if you would like to see just let me know and i will share one or so.. well best of luck to you and there will be happier days ahead.. kellie & 10 yr poly _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
