Guest guest
e: Rob was in the 14 and 15 year old group. He wouldn't talk a lot about exactly what they did, but I know that he really enjoyed it. they did pool exercise, had the opportunity to ask any kind of question they wanted related to the arthritis, did some crafts things, etc. At AJAO they are divided up in age groups so the group can be specific to the child's age and interesting to them. Next year he'll be in the 16 and older group. I think Joe would enjoy it! Its in Providence Rhode Island at the Westin. and Rob 15 Spondy On Wed, 25 Aug 2004 15:48:37 -0700 (PDT) bound for london <boundforlondon@...> writes: As a navy brat who was born in Otis Air Force base in Massachussetts but raised on the West coast I have always wanted to go tothe East coast. When is AJAO 2005? Where exactly? I think I remember seeing Rhode Island in a post. Details please. And if you have an older child--teen or young adult--what do they offer for you. We have went to a couple things with our local chapter but the kids are generally under 8 and things are directed to them. Great for the younger ones but when you are almost 18 nothing for my daughter. Thanks, e __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I think we (at least Abbie and I) will go. It's only about a 5-6 hour drive I understand. So Abbie will also be in the 16 yr old group. Might be fun. Christy (Abbie, 15 systemic) Re: Ajao 2005/e > e: > Rob was in the 14 and 15 year old group. Guest guest
e: I hope you can go too. I hope we can go!! I'm trying to save, but you know how that goes...things keep coming up. That is so awesome about Joe...I have always thought that being in an orchestra would be a dream job.. I hope your legal troubles clear up soon, too. Take care, and Rob 15 Spondy On Mon, 13 Sep 2004 20:47:38 -0700 (PDT) bound for london <boundforlondon@...> writes: I sure hope some way we can go. The Seattle AF chapter had a picnic this weekend. We went for the last hour after symphony. The oldest child there was 8 so all she gets to do is stand around with the adults and the concerns of adults of a small child versus a YA are so much different. Her 7 yo brother has special needs and when I meet with people about him we definetly are thinking about different things than with my daughter. Her main thing is she wants to go NY with symphony and to either CA, FL, IL or DC with orchestra. She would rather deny the jra. Can't blame her there though. But we will hope that my legal mess will be over and we'll have some money to go. I would love to come. e snooksmama@... wrote: e: Rob was in the 14 and 15 year old group.
