NO MORE PRED (for now)

Hi all,

We gave Hunter his last little 1mg pred. pill on Sunday and so far

so good. The only med he's on now for JRA is 1ml mtx. SQ weekly.

Of course, there's still allergy stuff he has to take, but no big

deal. Now I don't have to panic if we forget to do meds first thing

every day. That truly is a relief. So, Hunter spent 358 days on

pred. total.

I hope and pray that every one of you can have a post like this as

soon as possible.

Hi Stacia,

I am so happy to hear that Hunter has been able to discontinue the

prednisone. I hope the MTX alone continues to keep everything on the

right course. It is such a big relief, isn't it? Right now Josh is

taking just MTX, Indomethacin, Cytotec, folic acid, and growth hormone.

He had gotten so used to taking handfuls of tablets every day. He is

such a happy camper! I share Stacia's wishes, for all of those who are

not doing quite as well.

Aloha,

Georgina

-Stacia,

Congrats on the end of the pred!!!!! what wonderful news, i hope

that Hunter continues to do well.

is still at 2mg, but we are decreasing and the drops in

dosage has been going well and hes not having any of the problems he

encountered at the 5 and 6mg marks....

4 more months and we should be done too!!!!!

Hi Stacia:

WHOWHOOO congrats on the last Prednisone pill. It's so wonderful to hear of

another child getting off the steroid. Wishing Hunter continued progress.

How is Mr. Hunter doing these days?

Take care.

Patty
