Hi e,

Thanks for the update on Joe, I was just thinking the other day that we hadn't

heard from you in awhile. I am sorry that Joe continues to have problems - and

paying for attempting to enjoy her teen years. You and Joe will be in my

thoughts. (I know it isn't her real name, but when I think of Joe I always

think of Jo in Little Women - one of my all time favorite books from childhood -

and imagine your Joe with the same determination and fighting spirit of the

heroine of my childhood - all our kids are my heros today! Sending warm

thoughts! Robbie is at the three year mark from diagnosis as well this week = 3

years of steriods and the ongoing battle.

Hi e:

That's a shame that Joe has to pay the price for doing typical teen stuff! I

hope the day comes soon that she will be able to enjoy everyday things that

so many take for granted and gets to reduce the meds until she is off of them.

How is her ulcer? Healed I hope. How is the accommodations coming along for

the state test?

Take care.

Hi Patty,

Unfortunately the leg ulcer is still there and more staph things keep popping

up. Her arms and legs are so scarred from all of them. Dermatologist, rheumy and

ped don't know what to do. Her rheumy is working on the accomodation letter but

he has been on call for weeks so is way behind. I hope he gets it done soon or

we are going to miss thesecond test date. ARGH!

Library time is up so more later.
