Guest guest
I am new to the list and have spent the last few days reading the posts and learning alot. It is amazing how much research you do and how many questions you ask that there is still so much to learn from experience even after a year. It appears that most in this group are older than Garrett, but the information and experiences will help us plan for the future. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. We thought we had trouble with doctors and getting people to understand that while he looks like any other 2 year old, he was sick. Reading the posts, I can see that our story isn't unique and that we are blessed. I am not the parent, but the grandmother. Garrett has polyarticulate/borderline systemic JRA. He will be 3 in September 11th. He was diagnoised last September as pauci. He is currently on Enbrel with Motrin and we have seen marked improvement but also know that it is still a long uphill battle. We do have a quite a few younger kids on this list also, so keep on checking back. Please feel free to post and joys and or concerns you may have. Nothing is too small for this group! My daughter also recently started Enbrel and so far it has been working fabulously... Once again - Welcome... Guest guest
Kris- My daughter is also 2, she will not be 3 until May of 2005. I am glad there are other parents like you out there for me and others to network with. We are a great support system for each other. is on Naproxen, Methotrexate, folic acid and enbrel. She may have to come off of the Enbrel since it has made her test positive for Lupus when she was negative before it. So, this is my new challenge, hoping the blood test is a one off and she will have a negative test this month! She was only diagnosed 2 months ago, but I too have gathered invaluable info and support from this group! Welcome! Guest guest
Hi Kris, There are definitely other " little ones " on this list. My son was 3 when this all started. There are still things that I learn almost every time I sit down for an hour and go through the posts. Welcome to the list and never hesitate to ask away.
