Guest guest
Wow Helen. Good news and bad news! I'm glad his tests all looked great. That is always such a nice relief. I feel bad for the little guy. He shouldn't have to have vacuities on top of everything else! I hope that he can get rid of this soon! Alia and Caroline, age 2, poly and Uveitis Nicks rheumy visit. Nick had his 6 week check up with the rheumy today...of course today nothing hurts and hes all perky and fine and when asked how hes been doing the answer was the usual " just fine " . The news is that it looks like he has vaculitis. He now has had 3 " ulcers " . We are to watch and let her know if he gets them more often or in greater numbers. I guess the treatment for this is the same that hes basically on already. Nick did grow 1/4 of an inch, but hes down to 42lbs... he was 43 lbs back at the begining of May. I tell ya, hes a bag of bones and skin. Theres not one oz of fat on the boy. His right ankle still is not moving quite as it should... thats the one that he couldnt flex upwards the other weekend. I'm to keep on with the exerises. Other than that the appt was pretty routine... no changes in meds, she was going to up is MTX, but decided on holding off on that until his labs are back.. im expecting his labs to be fine so i guess we will not be increasing. He can only go up another 2.5mgs anyhows. The pred taper will continue at the present rate.. its seems to be working ok, apart from a couple of rocky days right after the drop. So on the whole Nicks doing ok..... Hugs Helen and (6,systemic)
