Guest guest
I would call the ped in the morning, unless ofcourse he gets much worse tonight, If you can't keep the temp down with Tylenol ( the naproxen should help too) cool baths help alot, you can do that as often as needed, also something else i have done when the tub gets to be too much is putting a cool cloth on their forehead.......Holly has been on mtx since she was a year and a half, she is now 10, if we can make it through, so can you, it seems hard, but you just do........Holly gets sick ALOT!!! I will be here for a while tonight, should you have any further questions, let me know how he is tomorrow! Luv and hugs, Aj
Guest guest
Hi , Great question, In the beginning we tend to call the rheumy about everything and forget the ped is more familiar with all sorts of illnesses. Differant doctors do differant things. Some make you skip MTX if there is a fever while some don't.We have never skiped MTX for anything. It sounds like your little one needs to see his pediatrician.Ours wants to see if his temp just hits 100.Your rheumy would be the one to ask about illnesses and MTX.These kids can get very sick very fast.We do skip Enbrel but that is my choice not our rheumy. About the fever all you can do is alternate the Tylenol with the Nap. Good luck at finding answers. Hugs Becki and 5 systemic
Guest guest
Hi! We keep our son on the MTX. He gets very sick when he catches anything. Fortunately, he doesn't get sick often. (mother of Carrick, onset at age 9, poly, currently age 12, meds: 6 ml MTX weekly injected now, tapered from 750 mg naproxen daily and .8ml MTX injected weekly, prednisone only first 2 weeks of diagnosis, 2 sets of direct joint injections of aristospan) M.
