Hey Becki.. now I do not feel so bad not making the trip. Cant blame for ya

weighing on the side of caution. That is why I decided not to make the trip. I

have had so many obligations and I was afraid one more would be one more too

many. I did want to tell everyone about my day today tho...it started at

s school, where I volunteered for field day. I was in charge of the

scooterboard races.Oh fun! Teams of 5 did relay style races on a scooter board

by lying

on their tummies and using their arms to move them along to the next person.

WOW! I was so moved by some actions of many of the children. There was a class

of 5 children with special needs and a group of third graders. The 3rd grade

class elected to let the special needs child sit on the board with legs

crossed and the first person in the relay would push them to the next person and

it

was such a delight to see. The children were so full of laughter and smiles.

Unfortunately alot has not changd tho, I seen so many childen who could have

been me many years ago sitting on the sidelines. Either they were overweight or

too shy or had a reason to sit the race out. I recall my field day day when I

could not participate and it made me a lil sad only until I recalled the piggy

back race where I was on the back of a very tall and athletic classmate ( I

was tiny too) and we won!!!! First place!!! I still have my ribbon..lol Then

this afternoon it was off to an assisted living residential facility to speak on

arthritis and the arthritis foundation. The first thing I heard as residents

began to fill the room was " she is so young, what can she tell us about

arthritis? " . Boy oh boy....did I educate these folks. It was alot of fun and

once

again I spread the word over and over, KIDS GET ARTHRITS,TOO!!! What a day now I

am off to rest my feet!!!! hugs and smiles to all...Donna
