Guest guest
Hi , I do remember. It was Miss Goober Girl! Her real name is Becki, I think. After a search, I found what I believe is the Mailing List / support group she formed. If so, it's accessible through: InterstitialLung_Kids/ As I did more browsing around, to try to be certain that this is the same person you spoke of (since I keep thinking , instead of Becki, for some reason) I came upon some sadness. If this is, in fact, the right person ... it turns out that she has been placed recently on the double lung transplant waiting list. You can read more about her story at: http://www.younglung.org/membersBioSectionBeckiSyndertransplantfundletter.html Aloha, Georgina snooksmama@... wrote: > Georgina; > First of all, a belated thank you for checking on articles for me. Guest guest
Hi , You're very welcome. You are so right, about Becki's wonderful attitude and her fighting spirit. What a great personality. I hope she's doing better, that the infection has been treated and she's out of the hospital? In thinking about it, I wish the donor program was universal and instead of opting in people were automatically signed up for it with a stipulation that you'll need to opt out if it's not something you're willing to do. I sure hope that she's able to get the transplant she needs so desperately. If you're in touch, please send my love and best regards. Guest guest
Georgina; Becki is now out of the hospital and looking forward to her meeting about the transplant. I will be sure and send her your best. I agree with you about organ donation...and I think there is talk on Capitol Hill about doing just that...making it something you have to opt out of if it is against your wishes, otherwise, if suitable, you are an organ donor. We could sure help a lot more people this way. I'll keep you posted on Becki as we learn more about her transplant. Thanks! and Rob 14 Spondy > Hi , > > You're very welcome.
