Jeff Brigham and Mac won the men's and women's divisions of

the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis in Seattle.

Mac, 25, who finished the 5-kilometer course in 17:54, is aiming

for a spot on the U.S. team in February's IAAF World Cross Country

Championships.

The 22-year-old Brigham unleashed a kick that brought him from about 15

yards behind leader Phil Kokich to a 10-yard win, clocking 16:00 to

Kokich's 16:02.

Freyberg, this year's race honoree, jogged across the finish line

of the 1-kilometer Run for the Elves with her father, Jim. The

8-year-old suffers from polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
