Guest guest
Dear , My niece developed Lupas around 17.She got so severe she had to go on chemo that made her hair fall completely off more then once. She has been on dyalasis many times due to kidney failure. She wanted to be a mommy so bad she slowely weaned herself off all her meds despite the pain and fatigue. Her internal organs stayed normal but her kidneys were in the stage before more dyalasis.Oral steroids do not pass to the placenta but she refused that due to the unwanted side effects. She gave birth to a full term little boy.He did develop GERD or was just born with it.He is being treated and has done miricles. They did however, had family and friends send money instead of presants to store his stem cells from his umbilical coard in case of an auto immune disease or cancer passed along. s coard blood was donated incase he matched someone that needed a transfussion. At that time it was brand new and didn't realy consider him needing it himself. It is possible but you may very well jeperdize your own well being in the process. I wish you the very best.My 2 kids drive me crazy at times but make up for it in the shear joy they bring me.My youngest with the systemic JRA is my life light.A true gift from God.He is just so awesome and to think he was our oopsie baby. Hugs Becki and 5 systemic
Guest guest
: If your insurance will allow it, I would suggest going to a high-risk ob/gyn since the many meds you are on may be of a concern during pregnancy. They could advise you about all of your questions and help you to make informed decisions. Meeting with them prior to a pregnancy could ease many of your concerns. This is from someone who tried for many years to get pregnant (endometriosis). But I know how well these doctors deal with high-risk pregnancy issues and fertility and I think that a trip to see one of them would be a worthwhile thing. Just my 2 cents! and Rob 14 Spondy On Fri, 20 Feb 2004 01:49:23 -0000 riotkat@... writes: > I was wondering if anyone on this list had JRA or MCTD had become > pregnant.
