Hi Tammy,

I commend your patience, Tammy, while talking (and politely listening)

to the saleswoman on the telephone. Most times, people really are just

trying to be helpful. They sincerely believe that they know exactly what

to do to help our children and unless they've had the experience of a

loved one having JRA or there's a pediatric rheumatologist in their

circle of family or friends they, most times, aren't very well-educated

about the disease. During the first few years that had arthritis,

so many people wanted to inform us of the latest breakthrough arthritis

cure. Most of these so-called breakthroughs came to us as clippings from

weekly tabloid newspapers. Not exactly the most reliable source! It

could get mighty frustrating, to say the least, if you didn't keep in

mind that they were sincere in their hopes that our child's health and

well-being would improve. It wasn't long before we started to use each

of these experiences as an opportunity to help share information, with

the well-meaning folks!

Best of wishes, to your husband, as he completes his education and training!

Aloha,

Georgina
