Guest guest
You might want to suggest that they biopsy the area that is swollen. Maybe that would give a better explanation as to what is going on. If it is something like mono it will show up there too. I doubt scoliosis would do something like that to a persdons back. Wishing you the best of luck! (poly JRa and Spondy, 19)
Guest guest
Thanks for asking . Sorry I did not reply sooner. Anyway, unfortunately when the dr called he talked to my hubby and he did not ask all the questions I had. All the dr said was that only had 3 degrees of scoliosis. I really did not care about that - we were not checking for that in my opinion. I have no idea why has this swelling on his back, nor exactly why is so tired. The dr said we could go back for the mono test but I know it is not mono. He is not sick like that. I remember when the ped thought the oldest had it, she was way different. I assume he is tired from the disease. He goes back to the dr in Jan. So basically no answers to anything - I may just call the dr myself, but feel like I am over exagerating things in his opinion. He never even said he was checking for scoliosis. Or why he would be. My oldest has about 10 degrees of it, and the ped knew that she had it by looking at her back and sent us for the xrays for exact numbers. So with her I knew what we were doing. I feel like the rheumy forgot what my concerns were. Anyway, a bit of venting here. Thanks for your concern and any advice/ideas are always welcome. Hope Rob is having a good day! Guest guest
Hi Michele, I wish you had been able to get a better, more definitive, answer about what's going on with Chris' back. I know that feeling you mentioned, wondering if maybe you're just over-exagerrating things, but it is nice to be able to have your concerns addressed. If I were you, I think I would call the doctor back and talk to him directly about your specific questions. Too bad it wasn't you who picked up the phone, instead of your husband. And too bad is continuing to have the swelling and other symptoms. Take Care, Georgina Tepper, Michele wrote: > Thanks for asking . Sorry I did not reply sooner.
